Where are you based?
We are based in East London but we deliver in locations to suit your needs.
Can you deliver training in our area or within our organisation?
Yes, I am happy to travel nationally and internationally, I will however always ask for the training venues to be fully wheelchair accessible.
How many people can attend each training session?
I find that training delivery is most effective with 6-15 participants to allow for good networking and group work opportunities and to also create a fun interactive and comfortable learning environment.
For the Trainer’s Training however a group of 8-12 participants is best due to the nature of this training and its methods of delivery.
How long are the training sessions?
Usually half day sessions are 3-4 hours and full day sessions are 5-6 hours however we can work flexibly with you to provide sessions to suit you.
We also provide shorter ‘taster sessions, workshops and presentations to suit you – just let us know what your requirements are.
Can you adapt your training to meet our organisations specific requirements?
Yes, absolutely. We are able to ‘mix and match’ a number of the different sessions, resources and activities used in our courses to ensure we deliver training that best suits your organisations aims, objectives and requirements. We are very keen to be adaptive and flexible in the training we provide as we hope that this is one of key messages that comes out of the sessions we deliver when we explore good practice.
If you have a particular topic area connected to awareness raising or good practice that you feel isn’t covered within our courses or have specific criteria you need your training to meet – call or email us to discuss this.
When you are delivering training at our organisation, are expenses included in the training fees?
Expenses are worked out on an individual basis and will be discussed with you before any bookings are made. It is our policy to keep expenses to a minimum by using low cost accommodation whenever possible and booking train journeys in advance.
What do you mean by an open workshop and how often do these happen?
An open workshop is usually one of our regular training sessions that is widely promoted and open for everyone to attend – instead of being organised and run for a specific organisation. For these training sessions, a date and location/venue are advertised (via email, tweeter, linked in, UKVPM’s, this site) for individuals to book and attend.
Group sizes for these sessions range from 6-15 delegates and provide a great opportunity for personal development and learning, sharing best practice with others and networking with organisations and professionals both within and outside of your usual areas of expertise, working interests and/or locality.
Open workshops can also provide a cheaper training option for organisations that don’t want training run within their own organisations or for those who want to key individuals to attend with the view to taking learning back to the organisation.
Depending on demand we usually run these types of workshops every 2-3 months and try to vary the locations we run them in. If you would like more details then just call or email :)
Will I take away any hand-outs from the training?
Yes, each training session has an accompanying set of hand outs which are given at the end of the session. Everyone who comes to training will receive a certificate too.
Are all you training session fully accessible?
We will certainly make every effort to meet all your access requirements once we are aware of them. As a wheelchair user myself, all the venues we use are fully wheelchair accessible.
If you have any access requirements please detail these on the booking form or feel free to contact us for a chat.
Will lunch and refreshments be provided?
To ensure we can offer you these excellent training opportunities at affordable prices, lunch is not usually provided at open workshops but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Tea, coffee, water, fruit juices and yummy biscuits are always provided :)
How do I book training with you?
To book training with us simply call, email or return the booking form to us and we will take it from there, we always try to make things as easy and efficient as possible. If you would like to send the booking form by post that will be fine – just let us know and we will send you our address.
If you are booking to attend an open workshop we will send you an invoice that we ask to be paid in full prior to the date of training. When we have received your payment you will be sent the course online, venue details and directions along with any other training materials.
If you are booking as an organisation, we will discuss your training requirements with you and detail all arrangements in a Contract of Works.
How can I pay you?
If you are coming to an open workshop we will send you an invoice which we ask to be paid in full before the date of training. We usually ask for payment by BACS but if you would prefer to pay by cheque that will be fine – just let us know and we will send you our postal address
If we are coming to your organisation we will agree a Contract of Works detailing all the arrangements and costs with you. You will then receive an invoice on or after the date of delivery to be paid within 30 days.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
If you need to cancel your place you must do so in writing to The Inspirations Consultancy at least three weeks prior to the training date you are booked on to ensure you receive a full refund. Should you wish to attend the same training course on a different date please let us know and we will try where possible to transfer your booking.
The Inspirations Consultancy’s cancelation policy is as follows:
- 4 weeks in advance of training date – 0%
