Just dropping a line to say thank you so much for the training yesterday. It was really insightful to know where we could improve and also where we were on the right track. It’s also always good when training provokes a debate and there’s no “right” answer to an issue raised. I’ll definitely be taking on what I’ve learnt and passing it on to my Volunteer Advocates.

I found yesterday’s session really informative and thought provoking. I’ve worked with people with disabilities for many years, but I took away a lot from the session that can help me improve in my work. Thanks

This training is very inspirational but not unrealistic – your attitudes and understanding is challenged but also developed greatly. You leave with lots of ideas which aren’t difficult to put in to practice. Thank you!

Managing Disabled Volunteers Training was interactive and thought-provoking. I wanted to update my knowledge of disability etiquette and terminology plus learn more about what I can do to make my volunteering programme more inclusive. I really enjoyed the day, group tasks were excellent and left me feeling very inspired.

Becki’s training was recommended to me by a colleague and I would recommend it too. There’s lots of time to discuss and ask questions in a very open environment. Great, challenging and I thought the group tasks were brilliant, I hope to use some of the ideas myself.

I am recruiting and managing volunteers of all backgrounds and abilities and often have questions about the way I can be more effective in my role and supportive to these volunteers. The training given by Becki was a positive way to learn, engage with other professionals and to discuss openly our thoughts on the subject we are focussing on. I liked the open forum, where we could speak with the confidence that whatever we say would not be looked upon as right or wrong but more about exploring ideas and values from another perspective. Becki did a great job at answering my questions and now I am going to act upon her advice.

I wanted to learn how I can diversify my volunteer base and Becki’s training provided a great opportunity to discuss your position (re volunteering for disabled people) in an environment that is non-judgemental. It was very informative and gave me a good base to start from.

My experience of the Inspirations Consultancy was nothing other than positive, from initial discussions regarding the training brief to course content and delivery. I certainly hope to use this organisation in the future again.

The training we asked for was competitively priced; the content was comprehensive and completely met our requirements.

Feedback from delegates was positive and showed they had gained a valuable insight into disability as well as practical tools that they can use in their own organisations. As a result, organisations are better equipped to recruit and support disabled volunteers and thus the knowledge gained was certainly worth the investment of time.

I have found Becki to be dedicated and focused in her work.

Two of the things I particularly appreciated were her ability to present information clearly, analysing not only what had been achieved but also the impact of what had been achieved, and secondly the creativity and fun that she brought to the development and delivery of training.

As a consultant and trainer Becki is credible, she not only brings her personal experiences of impairment to the training she delivers, she is able to share her wealth of knowledge and theoretical understanding – enabling course participants to reinforce their learning.

Becki is a team player, willing to be flexible in her work to enable the whole team / organisation to achieve its goals, and to be compassionate and supportive to those she is working with.

I valued her contribution and learned alot from her, and would more than happily work with her again should the opportunity arise

This training was excellent and enjoyable. I was very impressed with the whole session. It made me think about areas of work that are sometimes forgotten, such as how we can involve people or re-think issues. It highlights how we are all different and have different and changing needs. Also we can, by making sometimes very small changes, improve anyone’s quality of life. I feel that attending the Disability Awareness session has improved all aspects of my work with my clients and I can now pass on the knowledge I have gained to other colleagues.

Leonard Cheshire Disability has known and worked with Becki Cullen in a few different ways over the past 3 or 4 years and it’s great to see her move into her own consultancy now.

Becki’s input into planning our European Youth Together conference‏ with EVS was really valuable and helped us greatly in meeting the objectives of the conference. The workshop she delivered around recognizing and overcoming barriers to volunteering was professional and well-presented, allowing our delegates the space to explore these sometimes difficult topics in a supportive and open atmosphere.

Becki is a lovely, professional, effective facilitator and it was good to see a disabled person lead facilitate the three days and influence other young people who are disabled. This certainly helps to provide a positive role model for young disabled people, organizations and people who don’t have a huge amount of knowledge around the subject of disability.

Becki Cullen was recommended by Scope when we were looking for an external speaker to present on the topic of ‘Perceptions of Disability’ for our series of Access to Volunteering promotion workshops.
Throughout my contact with The Inspirations Consultancy the service given was prompt, high quality and fulfilled the aims and expectations we had for these events. Becki worked effectively with our brief and put forward a clear and informative proposal for us to approve prior to delivery.
The session delivered by Becki was well-presented and enjoyable, providing a valuable addition to our event as it gave delegates further insight into an area they may have otherwise known little about. Feedback from the session was positive and many delegates found the session inspirational.
I would recommend The Inspirations Consultancy to others looking for similar sessions.
